Nino is a male Double Yellow Headed Amazon hatched in 2016. Other than that, very little is known about Nino's life prior to coming with us. He speaks some Spanish. He is initially cautious but not aggressive, nonetheless he will need some additional work to become comfortable.
Kiwi is a White-Eyed Conure, probably female, hatched in 2021. Other than that, very little is known about Kiwi's history prior to joining us. Kiwi is shy and was not handled much in her previous home. She will need an experienced bird owner to work with her. We believe she has a lot of potential for someone that will spend time with her.
Shasta is a female Lutino Peach-Faced Lovebird. We don't know her exact age, but she has been with us since 2019. Shasta was surrendered by her first owner to a breeder, but was never bred and was eventually surrendered to us. She is a chronic egg layer. She was hand fed and can be handled, but without adequate one-on-one attention she has become less so. Some patience and training will be necessary with Shasta.
Ollie is a Blue-Fronted Amazon, likely female. Her exact age is not known. Her owner had her for 8 years before deciding not to own a parrot anymore, so she was surrendered to us. Ollie is a very unusual Amazon, gentle, sweet, not noisy, and not prone to fits of rage. She is very slender and healthy. Like many birds, she prefers to come out of her cage on her own, but then can be easily handled. She seems to have a preference for men.
Opal is a Blue Quaker Parrot (Monk Parakeet) that was surrendered to HoF with a group of 22 other birds in early 2025. Opal is a presumed female. She is a typical Quaker and is territorial of her cage but once out of the cage steps up and enjoys spending time hanging out on a shoulder or perch. Opal does not seem to mind other birds but so far has kept to herself. Opal is going to make a great addition to the right flock!
Wasabi is a sun conure with a spicy personality! She (presumed) was bonded with another sun conure, Sunny, who unfortunately passed away in May 2025. They were part of the 23 birds surrendered to us in early 2025. Wasabi does take some time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you she is a sweetheart. She loves to eat and is very food motivated. She Has plucked in the past, but since with us we have not noticed any new plucking (some of her feathers are coming back in!) With the right person or family we think she will truly thrive!
We have many great parakeets looking for their forever home! Contact us for more information.
Mango, a senegal parrot, came to us with the surrendered group in early 2025. He can be a bit unpredictable but has become comfortable coming out of his cage using a perch. He would need someone who has patience and is an experienced bird owner. We think he would be an amazing bird once he has gained trust with someone.
Zorro, a white-bellied caique, was part of the group of 23 surrendered to us in early 2025. He is a typical caique- lots of spunk and sass rolled up into a little package. He can be nippy so he would need an experienced bird owner. He loves to play with toys and likes to dance and sing with you!
